The Huntsville Suzuki School of Music is an active contributor to the cultural spectrum of the Town of Huntsville.  Over the years, students and teachers have performed at every senior’s home in the town of Huntsville and all the local area schools and churches from Dorset to Port Sydney to Burk’s Fall.  The School has performed at the Huntsville Hospital, the Farmer’s Markets and are regular contributors to the Huntsville Festival of the Arts.  Suzuki students and teachers have played in local musicals and theatre productions  and have represented Huntsville’s cultural scene performing for audiences in Orillia, Montreal and Vancouver. Students often play their instruments in the downtown area in the summer months.

In 2006 the school hosted a major provincial music teachers’ conference drawing musicians to the Huntsville area from throughout Ontario and several northern U.S. states.

The Suzuki students were featured at the “Celebrating Muskoka” Event.  They played a number of pieces including the premier of Nancy Telfer’s tribute to Muskoka;  Water  Rocks  Trees

Select pieces from this concert are available for your listening pleasure.   Check back as the pieces will be changed up occasionally.
