The Huntsville Suzuki School of Music is a registered charitable organization.  The School is governed by a Board of Directors, including both parents and teachers from the School. All parents are expected to volunteer for a one-year position on the executive at some time during their child’s enrollment in the School.

Teachers are required to follow the teachings and philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki and have training in the Suzuki method, as well as being proficient on their instrument.

We offer affordable instruction on the violin, viola and cello.

The school is active in the community, promoting music through its many recitals, concerts, and orchestras.

Each student will participate in:

    * 36 private lessons per year

    * 18 group lessons per year

    * a minimum of one solo recital

I want to make good citizens. If a child hears fine music from the day of his birth and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart.

    —Shin'ichi Suzuki
